CrossFit is, by design, broad, general and inclusive. We don’t specialize. CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.
CrossFit has 10 fitness standards: They are cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. We focus on developing these standards across the board.
CrossFit is designed for everyone. It scales and applies across the board for everyone, regardless of your age, fitness level, gym experience, size, weight, height, or sex. With varying loads and intensity you start at an appropriate level for your own personal physical fitness and experience. CrossFit has an old school approach that combines constantly varied, high intensity functional movements that include body weight exercises, weightlifting, and a great variety of high intensity movements, with cardio and strength challenges. CrossFit is always varied, every day is different. We specialize in not specializing, routine is the enemy.
Typically WODs will last between 8-30 minutes, not including your warm ups and cool downs. Classes are 1 hour.
You will find the workouts fun and challenging. You will be in a group environment, with typically no more than 5-10 members at our box, this provides you with the attention from your trainer ensuring you are doing the movements safely and properly. Crossfit will challenge you both mentally and physically in ways you have never been challenged before. With your commitment you will gain a higher level of general fitness and a higher degree of athleticism. You will achieve your goals. Nutrition is one of the most important aspects of physical fitness, it matters what you do when you leave the box and we can help you with that.
Every CrossFit workout includes movements that are functional. Meaning, you use all of these movements on a daily basis and you will become stronger and more efficient in day to day life.
CrossFit is for life, it’s not a quick fix or a fad workout.
